Another sunny Sunday arrived and after I finished work for the day I headed out towards the Drava. This church is on the Hungarian side of the river near Legrad and it’s dedicated to Saint Michael. This is also the place where the Mura finishes its journey, merging into the Drava.
Drava sandbank.
This whole region (Podravina) is named after this river.
The fields of green. April is in full force now.
Pure spring.
During the major floods last September, the river broke apart some parts of its banks.
This was a river bank like any other. Now it’s more like a bomb crater.
River vistas.
Not all the fields are green, though. Rapeseed is now in bloom.
It’s getting late in the day.
The world of yellow.
After sunset I drove back home, but then I remembered that there is an extremely thin crescent Moon somewhere low in the western sky. It took some effort, but there it is.
The Moon was barely 1% illuminated and less than 24 hours old.
That bright thing on the right is the elusive Mercury.
Mars was there, too. Can you find it? Move your cursor over the image.
One more shot – this is Belupo, the pharma company.
