Moonlit Late Winter Night

Checking in. I drove off to the lake last night, not so much for the sake of photography, but rather to… drive off. Anyway, the night was full of bright moonlight and the place was eeriely empty – there was just me, some birds out on the water and other animals rustling in the dark. I didn’t stay long, here’s what I came back with.

The moonlight was, as I said, bright.

Orion and Sirius are setting in the west just after 22. Astronomically, this means that spring is right around the corner.

Deserted shores of the lake, illuminated by the Moon.
